    He was signed today by the Avs. This means he is not allowed to play for his college team right? Do you think he is ready for the NHL and can you tell me a little about him like his style of play and what NHL player you can compare him too. I heard he plays a little like Chris Drury but i don't know if its true. Thanks for any info.

    Correct. Paul's college career is over.

    I thought he would benefit from one more year at DU. He must have put on a show in the development camp.

    I think Drury is a good comparison.

    How can we know his contract $? Does we will know only if he makes the Avs?

    Cripes another kid I went to school with making it into the NHL. ALthough the last time I saw him I think he was like 4 feet tall.

    He signed a three year contract. He'll make 450K if he sticks with the Avs in 06-07. I don't know what amount the contract will escalate to in 07-08 and in 08-09. I imagine had he waited a year, he would have gotten closer to the rookie max. I felt he was a strong candidate for the Hobey Baker next year.
