Good teams win despite adversity, and building yourself a comfortable lead helps tremendously in these situations. Everyone has injuries, and this time of year it's real common. It does help that the trade deadline has not yet passed and we can address our needs as we see it, noting how we do without certain players. The playoffs are extremely rough on players' health, it was evident in just our first round matchup in 2012 where numerous guys played through injuries and we lost 2 defensemen at one point.
I don't expect any team to be amazing when you're missing your top line center, a few forwards and defensemen, but they make it happen for the most part. Yeah they had some bad losses, it happens. They're still on top of the division and even with teams closing in (only because we're so idle right now), they're still ahead, getting healthier (for the most part), and have or will have games in hand.
