Game Story:

The Panthers are seeking payback after a disaster of a game last Monday against Ottawa. The Senators, long since eliminated, are playing the part of spoiler well of late, handing damaging losses to Florida, Dallas, and Tampa, while putting in a good effort in a 2-1 loss to the Blue Jackets last time out. You don't have to ask the goalies if they like playing these teams. James Reimer has feasted vs Ottawa, with a 12-5-2 record to go with a 2.45GAA and .929SV%. Craig Anderson has owned his former team, with a 15-7-2 record 2.24GAA and .930Sv%. Florida, playing the 2nd of a b2b, will have to face a rested Sens team and need a win as they try and track down New Jersey, who will be in tough in San Jose before a weekend back-to-back in Pittsburgh and home vs a rested Tampa.

1st line winger Ryan Dzingel, who took a puck in the head last game, is being held out for precautionary reasons.

That Devils schedule is promising with 3 straight tough games and facing Tampa the next day after playing in Pittsburgh. Anderson's numbers scare me though. 930 save percentage, jesus.

Please prove me wrong, Reimer.

Could close the gab considerably with losses by Flyers, Jackets and Devils.

Hoping the game I attend on March 26 matters.

Yes, knucklehead dman Patrick Sieloff has been called up and will likely see action tonight. This is the same guy who concussed Clarke MacArthur in a pre-season intra-squad scrimmage and had to be escorted off the ice because the rest of his teammates wanted a piece of him. It was then reported that in an earlier incident he broke Mark Stones stick and wanted to fight him in a scrimmage.

I would think it would be remiss to keep Haley out of this game as teams with nothing to lose have no problem sending head hunters like this and 4th liner Max McCormick against your best players. Haley needs to go after him early and get his mind off going after our better players. If no Haley, then you roll the dice on your better players getting concussed by a hit or a fight. :)
