I doubt any team would draft Barker over Malkin at this point. Malkin would have been fighting for #1 overall had he been in last year's draft, while Barker would have likely been the 4th defenseman chosen, behind last year's Big 3. I think this draft is something like Ovechkin/drop/Malkin/drop/Rest Of Top 10/drop with the rest of the top 10 being guys like Barker, Olesz, Schremp, Schwarz, etc.
