Both. I root for Chicago because I live there, and I root for Buffalo because i spent years out there. But I root for Draisaitl because he's german and I root for Radulov cause he's my favorite player.

After my team which hasn’t been for awhile I always root against the Leafs by default.

After that I root for the most exciting team in the west. This year I wanna see a WPG VGK matchup in the WCF. Whoever wins the west is winning the cup.

I'll generally cheer for my team, and then after that good stories, and good hockey.
Vegas, Thornton, Ovechkin, Crosby, whatever I feel is the fun or best story, but if there is a team that plays a style of game I can't stand it'll change how I feel.

Once my team is eliminated I usually just root for the good story. I really don't care one way or the other who wins at that point however. If I had to pick a guy to root for this year, it'd be Fleury.

My favorite team is the habs. If we were in the playoffs - i'm sure i'd be rooting for us to win series/cup.

I find that after my team - i only ever care about players.

There's players I'd like to see win (and others that I do not want to see win). But usually I cheer for the teams. Pittsburgh is my team, but there's other series that I watch and care about (WPG, TOR), but most of the rest I'm indifferent to.

I used to pick a team to bandwagon, but now I just look for teams who have players who really deserve to win a cup. Guys who have been at the top of thier respective positions for years, but lack team success like Ovechkin, Thornton, Rinne or even a Taylor Hall.

Players for sure. I'm a huge Bergeron fan so that makes Boston my next favourite team but if he were to get traded I would cheer for whoever he plays for next.

Any team that knocks out the Penguins, Tampa, and Nashville in that order. If Tampa or Nashville meet the Pens, I would root against the Pens every time. Pens winning a 3 peat would make their fans absolutely unbearable for the next 2 decades.

6. Individual players, especially those who are elite talent but haven't won a Cup yet.

7. Most Swedish players like Lunqvist, Nylander, Karlsson, etc. Got fond of them while following Strålman/Hedman with Team Sweden during the World Cup in 2016 and the IIHF World Championship in 2017.
