- Ottawa buys out Mrazek (1.433 x 4). Toronto buys out White (875k x 2, -625k, 875k x 3).
- Toronto saves approx 3.1mil next year, 550k the 2nd year, 2m the 3rd year, 550k the 4th year, and then pays an additional 875k in year 5 & 6.
- Ottawa adds a viable middle 6 winger for next year at a low acquisition cost & a salary cost of approx. $1.3m (Kerfoot base salary (750k) + (Mrazek's buyout - White's buyout)). Mrazek's buyout is a bit more expensive than White's, and over a shorter period of time, but the difference is not crippling by any means.
- Gaudette is an RFA who might be QO'd, might not be. Full salary can be buried. A viable 14th/15th forward for a competing team. I'd be fine retaining him for the Sens in a 13th/14th forward role but would be fine if we looked elsewhere, too.
