ARod had similar surgery a couple years ago.

That puts expected return around mid-November.

So either Moore is given another one-year contract, or Hrivik is re-signed and is given a chance, or some other FA takes the spot.

Seems like a legit reason why he didn't play much.

This should be a lesson to all those who claim AV is an idiot. We as fans only know what we see on the surface. A ton goes on behind closed doors that we aren't privy too.

mid-november might be the optimistic view...after months of not being able to skate how long will it take him to get into playing shape

Yes, please. Ribbit looked great on that 4th line.

Who is to say that is why he was sat? If that was true I would have expected the surgery a month ago so he would be ready by the start of the season. There was never a peep about any type of injury he had and he was at all the practices. Was McI hurt also so that why he never played?

1) There are like 10 Million other things AV did that make him a moron. Lindberg wasn't the first guy to get benched for Glass who is arguably a bottom 5 player in the NHL.

2) We have no clue when this occurred. So making an assumption either way is wrong.

3) AV is still an idiot and there are far worse reasons than sitting Lindberg.

He got his boo boo fixed by the doctor man. He will be back before turkey day.

Seems like hip labrum damage. Not uncommon in hockey. It's a ring of cartilage in your hip. If its damaged can cause a good amount of pain along with having your hip get stuck in place and clicking when moving among other things.

Hope its a speedy recovery.

Didn't Skapski have the same exact injury? Hope Calderberg gets well soon, and here's to Jensen or Hrivik taking full advantage of this opportunity.

Yes, Skapski had the same surgery. Much harder for a goaltender to recover from that than a regular player though.

I'm sure he had this injury when he played in the two playoff games he was in, why didn't they just shut him down then?

I think if we can bring Dom moore back at a reasonable figure for a 1 year deal we have to do it. It's unrealistic to expect Lindberg will be 100% even in the beginning of December.
