    Man I would love to see NHL referees get paid more. I mean they probably make a reasonable amount but like a 5% increase cant hurt

    Take some of that 24% rollback from the players to pay more to the referees.

    I have to agree. The refs have a tough job and put up with crap from the players, the fans and the league internally. Not to mention, they are on the road more than the players themselves.
    Great idea.

    10% wouldn't be too shabby either ... 81 refs & linesmen altogether that have to put up with the likes of Captain Crosscheck & co
