The Sabres feel Kane is an even better option, so they will aim higher. Buffalo fans are hoping the winger brings back a stud defender, but it’s hard to see that for a rental.

I would love to say Arizona is a great long-term fit for him and hope that Arizona trades Ekman-Larsson, keller, and the next three first round picks to Buffalo for him.

In terms of playoff-race teams I'd say either Nashville or Minnesota.

No one should be looking at Kane to help their PP. He's a 5-on-5 scorer, and he can make stuff happen on the PK with his speed, but he's pretty awful on the power play.

Team's are way undervaluing him. He brings much more to the table. All of the offseason nonsense did not happen this offseason and he took care of business. What more do you want from someone who skates, follows through on his hits, back checks, and snipes goals. If Hanzal returns 1st, 4th, and asset. Or Duchene, who while a centermen has underpointed him and is the same age. He's easily worth a 1st, and at least a B level prospect.
