If I was the U.S. brass I would go all young players. Hope for another Miracle on Ice as there's no chance in hell foreign-based pros are going to get the job done.

Absolute travesty.

Mason Raymond? Are you freaking kidding me?

I hated him when he was on the Canucks, imagine him playing in the olympics for Canada?!?!

It's not like it hasn't already for years been 100% clear that the NHL wouldn't participate in 2018 and 2022.
But now it's 110% clear. Team Canada's staff has been named. No Yzerman, Babcock etc. anymore, only people currently not employed by NHL clubs.

2018 has been clear for a long time. I would be surprised if they aren't back in 2022...

As for that Team Canada roster, congrats Russia

This probably won't happen, but I would LOVE if USA Hockey sent the 2018 U20 WJC team to the Olympics

I think a cold chill passed through all of Canada when this list was released. The idea that this will be Canada's team makes me want to hide under my bed.

Kazakhstan will actually take us to OT.

Add Markov to Russia with him signing in the KHL. Geez, they'll have a stacked defense at this level. Markov, Voinov (a top 4 dman on any nhl team), the giant Tryamkin, Gavrikov, Belov, Nesterov,
