Some decent players for the US but you can still see how much far ahead Canada is when you look at the bottom 6 for the state's
Guys like stamkos, Tavares and toews are getting tossed into those bottom 6 roles because of the abundance of top tier players for Canada

Just for comparison's sake:

Marchand - Crosby - Bergeron
Benn - McDavid - Seguin
Tavares - Getzlaf - Stamkos
Toews - O'Reilly - Stone
Giroux, MacKinnon, Carter, Scheifele, Drouin, Schwartz...

Gaudreau would be top line with Kane and Matthews for sure the way he's playing.

That line would destroy. Especially on big ice.

Rielly ahead of Giordano?

Parayko ahead of Subban?

I would also swap Stamkos with MacK and put in Couts in for Stone

so everyone points at Rielly but not Parayko (another top 20 dmen)

Rielly is for sure better than Ekblad right now
He's been better than Keith this season

Can't comment on Shea Weber

It's pretty close. I doubt that Parayko would be there. I doubt that Couturier would make it even with his great start. Schwartz vs. O'Reilly might depend on who the GM would have been.

Right now? No, You guys need to stop underrating him. He's a top 10 D this season.

He’s been really solid and he’s on pace for 60+ points. He’s only 23... HFboards just hates on Reilly for some reason.

He's incredibly underrated on HF. He would be very deserving of being on Team Canada.

As a Sens fan, I would have loved to see Stone make Team Canada. Sad that it won't happen.

The Matthews thread made me think about how scary good of forwards the Americans would've had had they gone to the Olympics. Dare I say, better than Canada?

Here are the list of the top US scorers so far this year:

Anything can happen in a win or go home game but I think you need to pump the brakes a bit with that lineup. Maybe the next Olympics but I think with full participation this time around Canada would have a stronger squad overall than in Sochi.
