"Don't forget that with the 7th pick in this year's draft, they will only stand to get even better..."

Niko Kapanen provides finesse and speed, but he's likely too small for NHL play.

I thought this one was pretty funny (sorry Islander fans):

With the first pick in the 2000 draft, Gaborik or Heatley will be welcomed additions and do nothing but keep them on the top of Hockey's Future organizational rankings.

almost all of the 1998 players are still going and producing fairly well.

The Flames have a great top line on the way (Fata, Tkazcuk, Saprykin)
I'm going to take a wild guess and assume AHL goalies aren't terrified. The best of them is probably Sparykin but a career high of 29Pts isn't particularly auspicious.

Novoseltsev is drawing comparisons to teammate Pavel Bure, and they're not unwarranted. He's a bluechip prospect, and along with Denis Shvidki, they may add some much needed depth to the finesse wingers in Florida. Shvidki passing to Bure. A goaltender's worst nightmare.

Novoseltsov as the wannabe Bure, and Shvidki feeding him. A goaltenders fondest dreams.

Shvidki passing to Bure. A goaltender's worst nightmare.

The next wave of defensemen (Jesse Wallin, Kuznetsov, Golubovsky) are on the way for the rapidly aging Red Wings blueline corps.

Only Volkov could be considered an outstanding prospect... The Kings have a little bit of offense and Volkov in their farm system but they don't have much else.

Much like Tampa Bay, the Senators possess several potentially terrific players. Schastlivy's a sniper who should bloom next season in the NHL. Vauclair, Lajeunesse,.... Hurme, Verenkin and Chouinard round out a strong prospect core.

Finley is a more than capable netminder

Finally, some offense on the way for the Capitals. Beech is an intriguing prospect, and Tezikov, Sivek, Lupaschuk, Tvrdon, provide solid depth.

Lundmark and Brendl both have good skills and are future NHLers.

Lee Goren: NCAA MVP. Plus: Jeff Zehr, Matt Zultek and Jonathan Girard.

The Flames have a great top line on the way (Fata, Tkazcuk, Saprykin)

The Sabres have a strong potential blueline, a top young netminder, and a potential sniper. It also wouldn't hurt to get a few more offensive players like Norm Milley.

And, (as already mentioned) my personal favorite:
With the first pick in the 2000 draft, Gaborik or Heatley will be welcomed additions and do nothing but keep the Isles on the top of Hockey's Future organizational rankings.

Add Pyatt, Mezei, Krog, Kudroc, Weinhandl, etc... and you have yourself a very very bright future.

:sarcasm:

Even the top team turned out really bad.

Though we could say that about a few teams on the recent list in few years...
