Been hearing a lot recently about OHL draft picks and the likelihood of their sons actually playing in the O. Decided to do some research since none seems to be formally collected so hopefully this is of use to someone. From previous years the averages don’t deviate all that much. The approximate average for the U16 draft likelihood that the kid plays 1+ game in the O is ~40%. The distribution is obviously not linear as rounds 1-3 it is ~95%. Round 4-6 drops off to about 50% and then rounds 7-15 it drops to approx 15%. How good one has to be to be a certain round draft pick is a whole other story. The U18 draft has a pretty much equal distribution being approx 15-20% chance across all 3 rounds. Hope someone finds use to this, feel free to expand on it too
