For those of you that have seen my Greatest Scorers List before, this will give you an update. I have added the data from this year's regular season and posted the updated list below.

One thing to note is the significant jumps both Jagr and Thornton have made. As well, young guns Crosby and Ovechkin have made the list in their rookie seaons! No easy feat. I have bolded the players that have moved up based on the 05-06 regular season.

Remember this is my list of GREATEST POINT SCORERS

Enjoy.

Ogo,

I'll make this comment here, but it's sort of generic and applicable to all three lists.

A commendable effort. We don't always agree, in fact, we rarely agree. But you earned my respect long ago for the work you put into your lists. (The same can be said about pnep). We have different standards of greatness, different qualifications for what makes a player great. But that's OK. The right to disagree, and do it in an enlightened, respectful manner, is what makes discussions about hockey and other sports, so great.

I think I speak for all of us when I say that we've all learned a little more about the game's history and the game's greats through your efforts. (I know that murray has said the same thing). And I think we all realize the need to heighten awareness of hockey's history. Whenever the history of the game is spread, and done so by credible sources, it's a good thing. There needs to be more of it.

So again, thanks for the effort. Will a greatest players list be forthcoming after the season?

God Bless, thank you for the kind words and I very much echo the sentiment. Although we don't often agree, I respect the intelligence and knowledge you bring to the boards.

And yes, once the season is complete, I will update the Greatest Players list as well. :)
