I wonder how the goaltending will be like for the rest of the season. Child's out with an injury, Bilous is 16 and was being kept around for development. Dechaine, IMO, is the better of the three but wasn't made the starter this season, even though he's done well in the games he's played. Now, with Scott coming in, it may be that Deschaine is sent back to Sherwood Park. Or Bilous gets sent down to get some playing time. Then, what happens when Child comes back?

Brett Kemp again played the hero, scoring the OT winner, as the Oil Kings dethroned the Pats 4-3 in OT. Colton Kehler (named first star) scored twice and Trey-Fix Wolansky added a goal and an assist. Tomas Soustal, Liam Keeler and Scott Atkinson added assists. Josh Deschaine (W 6-3-3 and named second star) made 33 saves. PP was 0/3 and the PK was 2/2. Shots were 36-33 Regina. Edmonton won 28 of 62 faceoffs.

Colton Kehler scored both goals and Brett Kemp assisted on both but the Warriors tied the Oil Kings to stakes 8-2. Josh Descaine (L 6-4-3) made 7 saves on 12 shots before being pulled 24:35 in. Todd Scott finished up, making 24 saves on 27 shots. Shots were 39-19 for Moose Jaw. PP was 0/3 and the PK was 2/2. MJ won 31 of 51 faceoffs.

Todd Scott (W 9-7-4 and named first star) made 43 saves in his first Edmonton start as the the Oil Kings (13-26-6) made a swan carving out of the Ice 5-1. Colton Kehler (named second star) had 2 goals and an assist, Brendan Semchuk had 2 goals and Carter Souch did the goal scoring. Tomas Soustal had 2 assists, with Brayden Gorda, Will Warm, Kobe Mohr, David Kope and Trey Fix-Wolansky adding singles. Shots were 44-19 for Kootenay. PP was 1/2 and the PK was 5/6. OKs won 31 of 64 faceoffs.

From Sunday: Brendan Semchuk and Cole Kehler scored and Trey Fix-Wolansky (named third star) had 2 assists but the Blazers dressed up the Oil Kings 70s style 4-2. Connor McDonald also had an assist. Todd Scott (L 9-8-4) made 24 saves. Shots were 34-28 OKs. PP was 1/4 and the PK was 2/3. Edmonton won 34 of 58 faceoffs.

Tomas Soustal (named first star), David Kope (named third star) and Colton Kehler got the goals but the Tigers refused to be house cats for ther Oil Kings 4-3 in OT. Matthew Robertson had 2 assists while Liam Keeler, Trey Fix-Wolansky and Conner McDonald had singles. Josh Deschaine (OTL 6-5-4) made 36 saves. Shots were 40-30 for Medicine Hat. PP was 1/2, PK was 1/5. MH took 38 of 62 faceoffs.

The Oil Kings were sliced and diced by the Blades 5-0. Josh Deschaine (L 6-6-4) started and made 5 saves on 8 shots before being pulled 10:13 into the first.
