That Kemp kid is going to be a hell of a player. Two breakaway goals, one with 18 seconds left to give the Oil Kings a 4-3 lead in a game they were down 3-1

Oilers'72, what's your take in the Leslie acquisition? Looks good to me. He's needed and the price isn't high.

Oh, and thanks for these reports. You don't get enough recognition for the work. Or any, really. Well done.

It sounds like he's been added for depth. He only has 5 assists in 82 games with 3 of those coming when he was with Everett in the 2014-15 season (plus his only playoff assist). His 34 PIM last season included 2 fights and a misconduct so he won't hurt you taking minors.

15th overall pick in 2014 by Everett but it looks like he hasn't lived up to his draft position since this will be his third team and so few points. Of course, I haven't seen him play so I can't really say what he brings. Hopefully, some leadership and good defensive play.

Jantzen Leslie scored his first WHL and first Oil King goal but that was it, as the Thunderbirds swooped over the OKs (5-9-2) 3-1. Trey Fix-Wolansky and Scott Atkinson had the assits. Boston Bilous (L 0-4-1) took the loss, stopping 16 of 18 shots. Edmonton outshot Seattle 31-19 and were 0/5 on the PP while the PK was 2/3.

Leslie seems to be a direct replacement for Jordan Dawson, who left the team earlier this week. On that topic, it's kind of odd how many guys they've had do that in the last couple of years. Makes me wonder if there's something up with coaching/management....

There was a disturbance in the force as the Oil Kings (5-10-2) were betrayed by a goal with 10 seconds left and were led away captive by the Blades 3-2. Trey-Fix Wolansky and Tomas Soustal both had a goal and an assist in the loss. Colton Kehler helped out with an assist. Boston Bilous (L 0-5-1) made 25 saves. Shots were 31-28 for Edmonton. PP was 1/5 and the PK was 3/5. OKs won 29 of 51 faceoffs. Fix_wolansky was named first star and Soustal second star.
