Doesn't the AHL season go longer than the NHL? So it would give the Leafs a chance to see Nylander/Hyman/Brown and then back for the playoffs.

As long as Nylander is on the Marlies roster at 2pm on TDL day, then he can be sent down to play in the AHL playoffs.

Needs to be on AHL roster on Monday to qualify for playoffs.

Is that why William Nylander has not been called up yet or does he already qualify since he's been with the Marlies since the start of the AHL season?

I like this idea, give him some time with Marlies. Gives us time to evaluate D prospects on Leafs plus evaluate Cowen with Marlies in hopefully a deep playoff run

Loov was an emergency call up so with Hunwick back, there is no more "emergency". They have no choice.
