Think that's even worse than the Jason Blake rosters.

One game playoff, who do you take?

Grabner Kadri Komarov
Holland Arcobello Parenteau
Winnik Spalling Leivo
Clune Froese Boyes

vs...

Hagman Stajan Stalberg
Ponikarovsky Grabovski Kulemin
Blake Wallin Mayers
Hanson Mitchell Orr

Gotta take the team with Komarov on it. He's the best 2 way player off both rosters. Kadri is also better than anyone on the second team as well.

Cowen taken off IR and waived.

Shouldn't be claimed. If he has any value at all from his weird buyout cap credit this offseason nobody would pick him up now as his cap hit for the remainder of the year would be more.

Jiri Sekac (CHI) and Jared Cowen (TOR) on waivers
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Sekac (CHI) on waivers today

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Cowen (TOR) also there. Malone cleared.

Maybe to make room for Stamkos?

Makes sense. Give him some game time on the Marlies. Work with him during the off season, and decide whether to keep him as a project or trade him.

Needs to be on AHL roster on Monday to qualify for playoffs.

nice. very happy they didn't waste any time waiving him.

he still has a longshot chance of getting his act together in the AHL, but at the moment he is just not an nhl defenseman.

Marlies really needed the D depth with Loov and Percy with the Leafs and Harrington out for the season.

Babcock on Cowen: "I imagine Lou will address that. I don’t think that’s my spot, but obviously a disappointing day for him."

Loov and Clune back to the Marlies. Opening roster space?

Cowen's on waivers, likely to be sent to Marlies to get his game back?

Hunwick might be back tomorrow night too

Komarov back from suspension.

Like I mentioned in another thread, it seems like something is up... would have been nice to have Clune in the lineup tomorrow night against Montreal.

With Uncle Leo back and Hunwick as well, somebody had to go. Plus, if they are on the Marlies Roster as of TDL, they will both still be eligible for the AHL playoffs. I suspect that once that is past, they may both be back up (Loov especially) along with a couple of others (Willie Willie please please please...)

There's also a Marlies game tonight and I'm sure that the Leafs would want Loov to continue playing.

If Cowen clears, might see him suit up for the Marlies tomorrow.

I think William might come up with less then 10 games to go that way we won't burn a year off of his ELC.

Doesn't the AHL season go longer than the NHL? So it would give the Leafs a chance to see Nylander/Hyman/Brown and then back for the playoffs.

YES, PERCY MADE IT!! Loov is the one sent down. Great news, probably means Percy is staying for the remainder of the season anyway and possibly coming down for the marlies playoff run

Loov was an emergency call up so with Hunwick back, there is no more "emergency". They have no choice.
