Unfortunately there was never an actual official signed contract. I never thought twice about it until this all started happening, and went looking for it.

That being said, my wife does have a multitude of emails, texts, and FB messages in which the photographer in question gave us a pdf of their service packages, and she responded with the date, amount, and which package we wanted, so at least there's something.

She was planning on getting in touch with PayPal at some point today since it was her account that we used for payment. I'm not holding my breath though, and honestly, it's not even a money thing. I just want my freaking pictures.

And as for the social media stuff, there's a reason I haven't mentioned a name or gender, because it's just not worth it to slam someone like that, especially if there's a legal route/option going on. Emily hasn't even written a review on any of the wedding related sites yet because of that. Like I said in my PM, she's been in contact with 5 or 6 other brides that this has happened to with the same photographer this year. One who had stellar reviews prior to all of this. The whole situation is just bizarre.
I went to college with a girl who started a photography business maybe 7-8 years ago. In fact she took the baby pictures of some celebrity couple that was featured in People magazine a couple weeks ago. I'm friends with her on Facebook. She loves her job but seems to be disillusioned with the culture of photographers in general these days. There are some real jerks out there and it sounds like you found one. :(

These wildfires are so awful. I feel so bad for everyone affected by them.

I like Friday the 13th.

I am sitting at the Paris hotel in Vegas. Strange place.

I hope the B's play well.
Kovi and I had been trying to make plans to go to Phoenix (would have been yesterday), go to the game there tomorrow, then drive up on Sunday for the game in Vegas. But she ended up having an event at work and couldn't get the time off. Probably worked out for the best, because yesterday, I learned that my client was freezing some consultant extensions and I wasn't getting extended after all. I'm now done there at the end of the month and back on the job search train.

Happy Friday the 13th. Hope no black cats cross your paths.

I clearly did because today has been absolute hell.

Started off with my morning train dying halfway out of the station and then I got elbowed by some punk kid who was brown bagging his soda.

You read that right.

I finished it off with the printer breaking while trying to print something for the CEO of the company.

I will say that I met the head of all HR today and impressed the hell out of her during the big board meeting.

I’m ready to curl up and fall asleep on the couch.

I hope everyone else had a much better day

Small casino floor, but a fun place to gamble. Never stayed there, heard the rooms are nice. Yay or nay?

Stayed there in ‘11 for a friend’s bachelorette party.

Way nicer than anywhere we should have been. Although that’s not saying much.

The best value I found was the Palazzo. Its suites (which are gorgeous) cost less than/same as the Venetian's regular rooms, but it's all the same stuff and access, and it's in a great spot on the Strip.

I have friends that stayed there and had great things to say. I’m not a huge Vegas person. I’ll go for a game next year probably but I’ve only been a handful of times as an adult. My grandparents retired out there so I went every summer as a kid.

We don't gamble. The Paris is very nice. Our room is on the 28th floor and is quiet.

I would never have come except for the hockey.

My biggest issue is the smoke as you walk through the hotels.

Amanda made me leap 829 feet from the sky jump at the Stratosphere a few hours ago. I am too old for this .

Good luck with the job search.

If this was not already paid for I wouldn't have been able to come. My little kitty cost me many dollars when she was so sick last month but is well now.

I would have cried all the way down.

Was it scary?

I am not afraid of heights but when I was all strapped in and ready to step off the edge I started to freeze. I just did it...It was cool and fast.

Amanda has done it a few times. She had been to conferences in Vegas a few times so she picked the hotel and is my guide.

The real pain from divorce? When one of your best friends from hs is the voice you hear on the majority of the TMobile commercials who now lives in LA, offers you ticket to go with to T-Mobile Center in Vegas (they know he's from Boston and Bs fan) Sunday for Bs v Knights game and you just dropped $600 on tires last week and don't have a pot to piss in now, never mind flight to Vegas, etc. I need that $600 back. One income sucks, I need a 2nd job LMAO OK, vent over, I feel better

Palazzo has real nice rooms with the benefit of getting to go to the Venetian for all the casino benefits walking only a few minutes.
