Rumor: NYR Sign Phil Di Giuseppe

Boo Nieves and Phil Di Giuseppe were teammates at Michigan. They could be the main veteran leaders on the Hartford team making NHL minimum salary money playing in the AHL.

COULD except Nieves will rise given the opportunity.
This guy, not so sure he is even Connor Brickley material.

Di Giuseppe is a good player. Not great, not a real regular, but certainly a decent spare. He's strong, he'll go to the net, he has decent hands and vision. He's a totally different player than Connor Brickley so I don't see the sense in comparing them. However, Di Giuseppe would be perfectly adequate as an injury fill-in for this team. He'd be like a 20-point guy if he played a full season and isn't worthless without the puck. I would think if they want to recall a veteran for a few games it would be him or McKegg, and both are just fine.
