Proposal: [NYR / CGY] Zuccarello, 1st for Bennett, Fox

I don't care for Bennett being in the trade. If you want something build around Fox and Zucc, work something else out and drop our first round pick from this. We're not giving up essentially 2 first round picks here. (Zucc which you can get at the trade deadline) and 1 of our later first.

I’m not high on them but I’d trade Zucc alone for them.. what’s wrong with that
I’m not adding a first though. If you’re the Rangers do you trade a top line winger (who has 1 year left) who’s the heart of the team+consistently puts up 55-60 points+26th for Fox and Bennett? Bennett is safely a disappointment, even if he does turn it around I can’t see more than 45 ish points for him. Fox is a solid prospect but not some blue chipper, I’d bet that we can get a prospect on his level at 26th and then grab a 1st for Zucc.

You'd trade a top line winger who's the heart of the team for a disappointment and a prospect.

I'm happy Calgary's GM is more into Bennett than the armchair GM's of HFboards.

They still think the kid has good growth potential; all the tools, yet to put them together though. Calgary won't be trading him for a win-now player.
