No Black?
It's Takeover, the shows only have a handful of matches so you can't have everyone. Black has no active program, he's still doing the establishing squashes. So it's fine for him to miss out. I expect he'll be getting a real program soon, so he'll get a big match in Brooklyn. But he'll probably have something on the TV that they tape before the show. Galloway and Ohno have the same problem (but I did expect Galloway to have had a showcase match).

It doesn't help that you've got a UK match on the show. While it'll be a great match, and they need to showcase the title somewhere, it does take away from an undercard NXT match.

Still, I'm really looking forward to show. A lot more than Backlash. Every match I want to see and I like everyone on the card.

It might because of the ladders. DIY and AOP had a match in San Antonio and it wasn't anything special.

AOP vs DIY was better than expected. DIY actually got some impressive offence in. I enjoyed their match

The triple threat with Revival was a MOTYC. DIY vs Revival II was match of the year last year.

DIY can seriously go. Add in some ladders for a couple fun spots and we should have a fun match. AOP aren't that bad

We know DIY can go, AOP is tough going, DIY had to work hard to get that match out of them, but in all, I felt it dragged and just kept getting slower. It was the match that should've happened though. Inserting ladders for the spots should go far to protect them.

God that triple threat was good.

This should be fun, but I'm not expecting MOTYC or anything.

Women could steal the show.

I think the women's match will be good. Ruby and Nikki are better workers than they've had, but haven't had much time to show it recently. Actually prefer this to the fatal 4-way. They've put the ones they've had on the backburner (Liv, Peyton, Billie) as a result.

Aren't takeovers normally every 3 months? whats up with having it now?

Also, the women's title match looks like its a picture straight out of a wwe 2k custom match or something.

Well I did call it a "bonus extra NXT Takeover” PPV in the OP :P.

But they weren't going to be every three months. There was to be four a year connected to the 'big' PPVs, but there's almost five months between 'Mania and Summerslam and that's unworkable. The show would drag massively during that time, so they've added Chicago to the middle of the gap.

Hopefully this show goes well, and they consider messing with the calendar to make Money in the Bank a joint PPV for next year. Turning that weekend into a 5th big PPV so Takeover can then be attached to that every year. Would make everyone happy
