To be fair, the D-Backs play a stadium that's larger than most counties, and the Blue Jays play in a phone booth.

I dunno that the playing field is all that big, but the half octagon shape is conducive to triples in the alleys. It's larger than the average but I think that has more to do with all the intimate style parks being built since rather than it being all that remarkable in a vacuum.
