Hopefully Goodenow will say this again about the PA's Dec 9 Proposal..

Bob Goodenow said:
“The players have dramatically lowered the overall marketplace and adjusted all of the main system elements with changes that will help well-managed clubs maintain their roster at a significantly reduced cost,†said NHLPA Executive Director Bob Goodenow. “Once a rollback of this magnitude is recognized in the system, the owners’ cost-savings will be realized for years to come.â€

And then explain why it even matters that their are triggers in the new proposal. Because he himself said that the cost-savings will be realized for years to come. According to them the PA proposal will fix everything.

Prove it.

I love PA types asking to define revenues (which is a good point). Let's see Bob define cost savings.

First question that needs to be question, "Bob, why can't you guarantee your own proposal?" Isn't it fair for the league to have triggers to protect them for the offer not being what you say it will do.

next question should be, "Bob, are you prepared to withold from any cap agreement forcing players to have a smaller piece in a smaller pie in the future?"

Next question - "Bob is there any chance you could resign - now?"

-The 4 trigger points a reflection of their "triple cap" proposal, already twice rejected. Doesn't feel they can negotiate off of them.

-They will be discussing and looking for new concepts in their meetings tonight/tomorrow.
