Leafer4Life said:What does that matter, as long as their meeting?!?!?!?
SSJTOM said:acctually the NHLPA's site coding works with that link. takes you to the main page.
WhalerBoy said:Yeah, is that true? I never believed that was the case.....I dont like that one bit either.
dem said:The PA is the one that needs to give in.
Everyone knows that the NHL isnt going to offer anything close to what the PA has offered previously.
An NHL proposal makes me think they'll offer something like 45.. and the PA will just reject.

Leafer4Life said:Not really.........

ChiHawks468 said:It could be a way for the NHLPA to be allowed to save some face since they said all along that it was up to the NHL to make the next move after the fax-a-thon.
nomorekids said:just because the NHLPA's site says the NHL invited them...doesnt' mean a gol-blam'd thing. That may be true, it may not. At least they're talking.
There is a possibility that the deal may already be done insofar as there's not much point in getting back together again and having public negotiations on Saturday. I would have to think at this point, the NHLPA knows exactly what would work for the NHL and the NHL knows exactly what would work for the NHLPA.

The NHL season is expected to be "un-canceled" Saturday in New York.
A player close to the talks who asked to remain anonymous told The Hockey News the two sides have agreed to a deal in principle that features a $45-million salary cap. Asked if there was any way a deal won't get done, the player said,
"not that I can see. I couldn't possibly imagine the idea that somebody is going to try to make a name for themselves in the last minute here."
