NHL on Fox wasn't hockey. It was Dragonball on ice. Players body checking each other would release a flash of lightning and a sonic boom, pucks glowed with a blue energy of their own that would explode on impact, shots turned into lasers that literally vaporized goaltenders, when a player was in a breakaway, he would turn into a burning meteor of flaming speed.

It was glorious! Quite frankly, I did enjoy it even if it was ridiculous and on crack.

Anyone who wants to watch what Fox was like the NHL Network right now is airing the FOX broadcast of the 1996 All-Star game in which the glow puck made it's debut.

I'm wonderin if NHL Network edited out the FOXTrax as Emrick/Davidson would usually makes this game FOXTrax Game of the Week.

Maybe it wasn't working at that game. I remember the glow puck didn't work half time. I've seen the glow puck on the NHL network before (both full games and classic series highlights) so they don't edit it out.
