NHL Exec Board meeting in NY on Wednesday

The importance of the April 13 conference is that it will set the table – and provide a detailed agenda – for the 30 owners who convene on Wednesday, April 20. That conference could be the most important in league history.

It will deal with such vital topics as:

CBA progress
A Draft system
In the event of no CBA, whether or not to use Replacement Players
Dramatic new rules

“For the first time in nine months, the NHLPA began actually negotiating when we met last Monday (April 4 in Toronto) but that was only one meeting. We’ll know more when we sit down with them again"
