I got back on EHM after a long absence and found this guy in my search for a 7th defenseman.

He actually genned with really good defensive stats, too. (also, he's 6'6" and 218 lbs.) I might look into him but I have my top 6 set up and I'd like to see him get a regular shift. Still pretty cool, though.

Oh man I've found some funny ones, I think I saved some screenshots I'll have to check. One guy had "lol" in his name, NHL 17 though.

Got one of these the other day and wish I took a picture of it. It was something like Jonathan Jer lol, I swear. The lol wasn't capitalized and it was part of a two-word last name.

That would make a cool storyline. Like the 2nd generation (the kids of Datsyuk etc) coming through the pipeline

Funny you mention that. I kind of always imagine that there are siblings once you get to generated names. Like, I've drafted a D man named Chris Zanetti and two years later, his brother Erik Zanetti pops up as a playmaker C. They're brothers.

Sometimes in the late rounds of the draft I'll just pick the most ridiculous sounding name and hope I strike gold. The broken name generator sometimes keeps things interesting.

This is one of the reasons i haven't play be a gm in like forever, a guy called Brad yzerman from North korea is the top guy before the draft, ok...... at least organize the names, how hard could it even be to select fore and surname for each country to make a newgen list, and then have a ranking from hockey tradition, fx Canada Russia Sweden US most probably.
