sportsnet has just reported that aki berg and kiprusoff have been pulled from a game to prevent any possible injury, it also reports aebischer has packed up his belongings in anticipation of a cba resolution. Just heard this on Fan590, take it for whatever it's worth.

Seperately, CBC Newsworld is confirming that the NHL has borrowed one of their satelite trucks, in anticipation of some sort of announcement later in the afternoon, the subject of the announcement is described as "still uncertain".

It was reported on Sportsnet about an hour or more ago, the FAN, being owned by the same company, are just a little slow to report it. :D

Several finnish NHL players have confirmed that the deal has been done.

Hahl, Nieminen, Ruutu all said the same.

To state the obvious, things are looking good. :)
I'm always cautiously pessimistic, but even I can't help but think that NHL hockey will be up and running in the next two weeks.
