One other small thing from today, they had the new jersey on display. Here's a closer look at the materials.

3 different fabrics:
- Most of the body is made up of a thick mesh similar to what was there before
- The shoulders are that "dot-matrix" stuff
- The underarms are a thinner, see-through mesh

I assume that they're moving to lighter and lighter fabrics for weight and breathability purposes. But IMO it's taking a toll on the appearance. Personally I wouldn't mind wearing it to play a game of hockey but see-through mesh is awfully cheap looking if you're just walking around town.

Has Stempniak played much LW in his career? I think if Francis could find a 3rd line LW or C we could definitely be in business. I'd rather not see Ryan as the 3rd C.

He switched back and forth from right to left quite a bit last year, depending on whose line he was on.

What are everyones lines predictions?
[NHL2]c-52371403[/NHL2]

From his scrum today, Peters said he envisioned Williams in the top 6 playing with Staal and Rask, complemented the Aho-Staal-Lindholm line's play in the second half of last year. He also really liked Skinner-Ryan-Stempniak line, and said they'd start from there and mix up the other lines. So guess we're looking to start with something like this:

Aho-Staal-Lindholm
Turbo-Rask-Williams
Skinner-Ryan-Stempniak
McGinn-Jooris-Nordstrom

I know it's the offseason, but it seems like the ultimate exercise in futility to project lines. Lest we forget that so many here thought it was a given that Nordy and Nesty would be stapled to Jordan last year. Lines don't stay together that much in season, and chemistry from one year to the next is rarely guaranteed. We'll see plenty of combos.

Yeah, and what happens if somebody just flat out-performs in camp. PDG, Kuokkanen, or Zykov...perhaps even Foegele might surprise. One never knows.

Fortunately, I think we've produced enough depth that our prospects will get the adequate time they need in the AHL to prove they belong before we start looking to replace currently existing options on one way deals. Once PDG is signed, I think we'll be looking at our complete roster. From there, the standouts in the AHL will get first crack in the case of injuries, etc.
