GP, there is a third option. If you're brave enough.

Considering Ward is 33 and it seems backup is a positional need, would you be interested in taking Allen? He was good in a backup role, but has the mental strength of a clown.

Y'all got cap space and he could be useful to you. The entire D-core is cost controlled, and so are a number of your forwards.

Jake Allen

For

4th round pick

Thoughts?

Please, please, please. It'd be so appreciated and I'm so desperate.

What is his contract AAV and term?

After this season he is making 4.35M for 4 years. Like I said, affordable for Carolina. Ward expires during, and lot of cost controlled players.

4.35 for 4 years for a team that does it's shopping from the loose items they keep in shopping carts up at the front of the store? Not likely.

Anaheim is having the hardest time getting a piece of glass replaced after it breaks. Seems they may not have the right size and are trying to cut it or something. Never seen a delay so long for that.

"Mental strength of a clown" isn't exactly awe-inspiring, although to be fair, we did have one like that that we paid $8 million a year to and made him captain. :D
