Figured this might be the best place to post this.

I am looking for the New York Rangers regular season local TV broadcast schedules for 1989-90 and 1990-91. I know that Rangers games were televised on MSG Network in those days but were they televised on another local station as well? I am wondering if the games listed below were televised in any way shape or form. Can anyone help me? I've looked all over the net for a TV pocket schedule to no avail.

Jan 4, 1990 NY Rangers @ Minnesota 2-8
Feb 4, 1990 Minnesota @ NY Rangers 3-4
Mar 10, 1990 NY Rangers @ Minnesota 2-2

Oct 8, 1990 Minnesota @ NY Rangers 3-6
Nov 15, 1990 NY Rangers @ Minnesota 4-2
Nov 19, 1990 Minnesota @ NY Rangers 2-2

WOR Channel 9 used to televise some of the games.

As already mentioned, Channel 9 (WOR--an over the air local network)) used to broadcast away games, but they stopped around that time. Not 100% sure, but that might have happened in the fall of 1989.

In any case, the Rangers' home games were definitely on MSG.

Local Library. Periodicals (Post, News, Times). Check "Sports on TV" section, or the TV listing sections for those dates.

The games weren't broadcast on WWOR-TV after 1989. You can find the TV listings for WWOR-TV and the other local channels on Google Books via the New York Magazine TV listings for that week.

After 89, they created MSG2 (or plus) as an overflow channel. If the Knicks and Rangers were both playing at the same time, one got bounced to the overflow channel. If one was at home, the team on the road always got bounced. If they were both on the road, it varied. I know on my system, it would be on the Family Channel as it was not a permanent channel.
