Mind blowing to imagine this event happening in reality. Obviously the initial collision would be insane, but imagine the sight of that huge arm of debris swinging around in orbit and then plunging back into the planet. Wildly violent stuff involving forces we don't have a human-level point of reference for.

Heck, at the scale shown, each tiny little impact that goes by with the blink of an eye would almost assuredly have correlated to an extinction-level event on a matured earth, and yet on that day that was just one in a million.
