NBA Live 18 worth buying?

Hey guys, I just wanted some opinions on NBA Live 18 from the people that have played it. I refuse to play 2K because of the career mode and player restrictions. Not to mention the whole VC debacle. How is the career mode in Live? Is franchise mode just your basic run of the mil franchise mode? anything special I need to look into before buying?
