Dustin Wolf is a 5'11" goalie. He's not going in the 1st round unless he has a growth spurt. You pretty much don't get drafted as a goalie anymore unless you're at least 6'1".

So far people are not talking much about defencemen in 2019. Byram seems complete but people want to see if others have a 200' game or are the usual 100' or 70' (can't play offence, or are bad 5v5, or look very good with soft minutes but put them on against top players and holes appear, play offence but are disasters in their own ends). 2o18 was a bounty for defencemen, I can easily see 12-15 playing top 4 roles in the NHL, maybe more. 2019 Byram, Matthews, and Vukojevic get some press, while people are quite disappointed in Rhinehart, van de Leest, Baker, Bellamy, Joncass, Korczak, and Penman, just to name a few, disappointed as in they didn't look as dazzling/solid as Dobson or McIsaac in 2017. But who knows what minutes they got as 16 year olds, if their coach likes to play veterans on D, if they were pushed down the lineup by bad coaching, and so on. Not likely, but attitude changes, new training, true opportunities, and one or two may blossom and be a steal if they don't go top 15.
