to go along with this proposal the UFA will be lowered to 28 with a MLB style arbitration system

a Salary floor of 30 million dollars

between 30-39.99 million there is no penalty for salaries

from 40.00-49.99 there is a 75% luxury tax in place

and at 50 million dollars the salary is capped

That is the kind of system I have talked about on here before and I think it could work if the numbers were worked out correctly. It is the best solution the 2 sides could make without one side losing to much, it is right in the middle. The league wants a cap, the PA wants a luxury tax, let's have both. That's the main part of it, and than all the other things can be worked out accordingly. But, I definetly think that a luxury tax with a hard cap at around 50-55 million is something that could work and is the best solution.
