Just how much influence does HF wield in the hockey world or beyond it? Do players really read what is being written here?

It's been a dreadful season on many levels. And criticism about the team has been rampant but also reflective of fan frustration, as we've seen on this forum.

What if we took it a step further?

Would it be possible that fans posting randomly on a hockey forum may hold so much power that their writings can deter players from wanting to play for the Habs? Or is it unfathomable? Let's find out ...

OK, so maybe anything is possible, lol.

Our late season push to finish 0-5 has been mostly successful, were it not for a loser point that the team earned by going into OT in its last game against the Jets. Since our tanking campaign has worked so far, let's continue with further enticement ...

If teams outside the bottom 3 win the top 3 lottery spots, we could potentially be bumped down 3 spots which is why we need to lose these next 2 games badly.

Lock it down boys we need a star and this is how we get it. We have the framework for a decent team we just need a gamebreaker to get our offense going, and rebound years from basically our entire veteran core, and we could conceivably be back in the playoffs next year. Let's not f*** this up now. Brady Tkachuk doesn't get us there; Rasmus Dahlin or Andrei Svechnikov might.
