wild 4th round pick in 2005, playing for Victoriaville in the qmhjl.

Seems to be having a stellar season, and has 7 short handed goals to boot.

Anyone seen this kid play, I'm thinking he could be a steal....then again i'm basing this off his points/face offs, shorties....i know there is more to look at then just pure stats.

    Who has a report?

He is VERY good. I think one of the more underrated prospects.

He has it all, size, speed, skill...

I only watched Victo once this year but he was very impressive.

    thank you.

It's about time the wild might have found a mid round steal in the draft.

imo Minnesota did get a steal with him........by the way, is he from norway or denmark? regardless, i think he is the best player right now that those countries have to offer

And Frans Nielsen is probably better than him (right now at least).

Madsen is a very good player, with a great shot and some pure speed. However, he really prefers passing to shooting, which he also does very well.

I haven't seen him play enough to rate his defensive play. I also heard from some people that he is a little bit inconsistant, but it might have something to do with him playing against weaker competition.

He also isn't very physical, but I saw him knock the hell out of an opponent with a semi-vicious elbow at center ice in order to steal the puck and score with 1 minute left on SH. It tied the game. That's the kind of big time play you want to see a player make.
