Not really much new here to what has been speculated on this forum, but it's nice to see an update.

Perhaps these new investors - significant investors, as Craig notes - can help foot the bit for the new arena.

Coyotes chairman and governor Andrew Barroway is exploring potential partnerships for his ownership of the franchise, and he is engaged in discussions with a handful of significant investors, a league source told Arizona Sports.

It’s unclear and undetermined what role or share the unidentified investors would have in a new ownership structure and there is no timeline on any potential changes to that structure.

Aside from the obvious infusion of money, the idea for bringing in additional investors would be to better position the franchise for its long-term goals in the Valley, such as building a new arena, building a practice facility, increasing its efforts to building the sport in Arizona and forging more partnerships in the community.

@SR - This rings true to what you mentioned a few months back. Same as what you've heard? Any progress there?

Similar, however it makes it sound like there’s multiple. I only knew of two, one of which was a big dog pharma guy, that was local. Still could be the case. But as you said this was months ago so a lot may have changed.

None the less, this is certainly good news and I’m hoping it’s the two that were mentioned to me previous.

Don't we already have a practice facility?

Great news though, if Barroway can get this team some long term stability he'll be a god.

They probably mean a private one located near a new arena. Or even if they don't, adding another sheet to the valley couldn't hurt.

The word "turned" was also doing a lot of work in that sentence.
Yeah the more rinks the better I suppose.

Re practice facility:

The Ice Den was built as a team practice facility by the original owners who brought the team here from Winnipeg. But when they sold the team to Ellman it was excluded from the deal.

The Coyotes have leased the ice time there since.

Westgate’s original plans called for a practice facility next to the arena (where Lot G is now.). But that never happened of course.

The fourth story was about the light drizzle we got this afternoon.

The sports promo before the first break was all about college basketball.

A couple of murders, a couple of jewelry robberies and a Trump rally. Then Korea and now Putin. The Coyotes news will probably follow the orphan dog story. Ironic.

Now the self-promo for the OJ show, pretending that it is legitimate news. Shame on you Fox10.

Then a story on the Vikings opening their new practice facility. If there is nothing in this broadcast I’m going to hate-tweet Jude Lecava
