Patrice Cormier...will go 1st overall in this years QMJHL draft and is considered a phenome...has been playing Jr A since he has been 14 years old. Plays like Brendan Shannahan and could be just as good.

91 borns to watch out for:

Everyone knows of Steve Anthony (could be the next Crosby and so on from Nova Scotia) but now there are two other Maritime players who could be just as good or maybe surpasse him by next year.

1. Travis Randell. a forward from Newfoundland - playing AAA in Newfoundland right now as a 14 year old, he is amazing and is said to be just as good if not a little better than Anthony, he is just electric on the ice, and has outplayed Anthony at times in different tournaments.

2. Devon MacAslund. Forward from New Brunswick- playing AAA for the Moncton Flyers this year as a 14 year old, he is one of the teams leading scorers for a doulbe underager and is just amazing on the ice at all times.

to see about Devon go to http://hockeyscene.com/nbpeiaaahl/index.php?page=teams and click on moncton flyers stats or roster and all info is there. This is the same league Luc Bourdon played in and Patrice Cormier and so on played some here.

I saw McAslund playing in a championship in Quebec city and he was impressive. He's gonna be something for sure...maybe the best player from New-Brunswick, yup, even better than Gordie Dwyer!

Watched Randall and MacAusland last weekend. Both have pretty big upside considering they are 14 playing Midget AAA hockey.

MacAusland is the best player on Moncton. Moncton has about 5-6 legit QMJHL prospects as well so its not like Moncton is weak.

Brandon Street of NFLD is also a 91 born playing Midget hockey but he had a leg injury and was unable to play at the Monctonian.

Throw in Steven Anthony and you have 4 91 born players who have superstar CHL potential.
