Once again, ran a Tankathon sim

.Senators: Rasmus Dahlin: Maybe, Maybe, this would be what it takes to get Karlsson to come back and that 1-2 punch will be the best this league has seen in a long long time.

.Coyotes: Andrei Svechnikov: Russian factor or not, the Yotes go for the potential franchise winger. He's IMO the second best player on the board and Arizona isn't in a position to draft for need or be selective here.

.Canadiens: Adam Boqvist: While drafting a center is a necessity, there ain't none, some might argue Wahlstrom but I'm quite convinced that he'll end up as a winger and more and more scouts are aware of this. Boqvist gives the Habs a D prospect they haven't had welll since Sergachev or....Subban. Elite!

.Sabres: Oliver Wahlstrom: Disappointed about losing on Dahlin and Boqvist the Sabres go for the home run and grab Wahlstrom, his stock has rose to where being in the top 5 is now almost certain and he has more untapped potential than Tkachuk who some see as a fit here.

.Canucks: Filip Zadina: While I suspect they might wanna go D here, can they really pass up on Zadina at 5? Zadina can honestly go anywhere from 2 to 5 and he'd be a great pick at every position.

.Oilers: Brady Tkachuk: While drafting a Bouchard , Hughes or Dobson would make sense, so does drafting Tkachuk, he provides much needed intensity and heart and could be mentored by Lucic. Having him face/off his brother as a rival a couple times a year will do great for his development too. He'd be the insurance policy McDavid can rely on on offense and as a bodyguard!

.Blackhawks: Quinton Hughes: Playing in their yard they must have seen enough to like him, They need to start building up their prospect core defensively speaking, Seabrook is done and Keith won't last forever. This new NHL relies on players like him panning out a bit too much for teams to show success.

.Red Wings: Evan Bouchard: The Wings are in need of Defensive help and with Dobson and Bouchard being the next two BPA it makes their lives simple. Bouchard has shown a great game this year and will be looked upon to anchor their top pairing a couple years from now.

.Rangers: Noah Dobson: The rebuild is on and reinforcements have arrived. Dobson is a bit more complete than Bouchard but lacks his creativity, many compare him to Pietrangelo at that age which speaks volume at the depth of this top 9. If McDonaugh is traded you've got his eventual replacement already lined up.

.Panthers: Nils Lundkvist: For those hoping he's gone unnoticed, forget about it. I can see him as the next D to go once Dobson and Bouchard are taken, the Panthers are definitely a team that can swing for the fences here.

.Islanders: Isac Lundestrom: The Islanders go for the best forward available and a player that has also been going up in multiple draft charts.

.Hurricanes: Joe Veleno: Well, there he goes, his recent play has got him to rise a bit on draft lists and a team like Carolina can afford to be patient with him, still, IMO, he's a potential Sean Couturier/Jordan Staal style of player.

.Avalanche: Ty Smith: Can they pass up on him for what seems to be a bigger need on the Wing? Maybe but by 13, Smith is the absolute BPA and the Avs could use another elite puck mover on the back end.

.Islanders: Jett Woo: After picking Lundestrom they go for Woo at 14 which looks like a Travis Hamonic during his prime. Ironic considering they did get the pick from the Hamonic trade from Calgary!

.Ducks: Jacob Olofsson: Depth at center is definitely a necessity nowadays and teams know that, Kesler and Getzlaf aren't getting younger and the Ducks sure do seem able to draft their Swedes.

.Jackets: Joel Farabee: Probably the most explosive forward that isn't a top 5 pick. Size is a concern but a big team such as Colombus can afford to have a smaller player with potential elite skill.

.Kings: Bode Wilde: The definition of a boom or bust prospect, while he looks to be a 5 tool Dman in the making some question his IQ and especially in his zone. There's no doubt that if he pans out he'll be a very good second pairing Dman.

.Devils: Dominik Bokk: He's got New Jersey Devil all over him, Bokk has improved through out the year and is only missing a better 2 way game. Can be a potential game breaking winger.

.Flyers: Akil Thomas: Akil Thomas: Thomas has got the skill and the character to be a Flyers pick. The Flyers can literally pick anything here, their prospect pool is as good as it gets.

.Flyers: Barrett Hayton: The Flyers pick another forward but a center this time, you can't ever have enough centers nowadays, suddenly their forward pool has Hayton, Thomas, Patrick alongside Couturier and Konecny for years to come.

.Wild: Ryan McLeod: THe Wild select the falling McLeod, a big and smooth skating center that will most likely be an NHLer at some point.

.Penguins: Ryan Merkley: The Pens select what looks like a potential future Letang. They're the definite team that can take a gamble here. If he pans out, look out he will be scary but his boom/bust ratio is definitely scary for some teams

.Sharks: K’Andre Miller: Another defender goes in what seems to be a great year for the blueline. Miller looks like a player with game breaking ability and looks to be rising on most draft charts. His recent play has been noticed, could be a wild card and go between 9-15.

.Stars: Rasmus Kupari; Probably the most talented forward still available and at 24 the value is good, comes off a bit as a gamble but just the type that Nill doesn't shy away from.

.Leafs: Grigori Denisenko: The Leafs select a forward with elite potential which is only available due to the Russian factor, Babcock's coached an elite Russian or two and is definitely the man for the job.

.Jets: Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Defense? What defense. The Jets select the BPA and run, he could be a beast in Winnipeg with the players he could be surrounded with.

.Lightning: Jack McBain: McBain gives Tampa that potential elite two way center, he's big and can play an edgy game.

.Capitals: Jared MacIssac: Once pegged as a top 3 prospect, well that was once and this is now. Not to say that MacIsaac won't be a good player because he sure can. He's got everything to be become a very good 2nd line pairing and is the kind of hard worker coaches will love.

.Predators: Filip Hallander: Hallander is MOST definitely on the Predators watch list and with his recent play he's a lock to not fall off beyond this pick. Could also be gone in the late teens. Gives the Preds a future 2nd line center option not too far off from now.

.Golden Knights: Calen Addison: The Knights select a PMD with offensive abilities, you know the kind of PMD which seem to be the new trend in the modern day NHL and which Vegas could use in the long run, most of us would have predicted Dahlin for them though, wow!

.Bruins: Benoit-Olivier Groulx; I dunno where and when but I recently heard a mention that Boston scouts love him and I'll go with that at 30.

I think, in this scenario, Rangers go Farabee over Dobson. But it’s close. Not a bad pick.

Boqvist is a good pick, if Montreal wasn’t drafting in the top-3. At 3rd overall, I’d definitely go Zadina.

Some of these I see as being very plausible like the Leafs snagging Denisenko and the Jets going for another Fin with Top 6 potential. Kotkaniemi is for sure a sleeper. The kind the Hawks would grab if they didn't suck this year.
