Dear god enough is enough. Pathetic to not have a road win. Up 1-0 with 10 minutes to go and you lose 2-1.

Defending has been a problem for a long time now under Heaps. Just never gets any better.

The New England Revolution announced that the club has parted ways with head coach Jay Heaps, effective immediately. Assistant coach Tom Soehn will take over as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2017 MLS season.

“Jay has done a great deal for the club over the years and had considerable achievements. I have great respect for him and wish him well in the next steps of his career,†said New England Revolution General Manager Michael Burns. “This decision has not been taken lightly, however, we need to do better than the results have shown from the last couple of seasons and this season left us convinced we need to go in a different direction.â€

Now if they can just get Kraft to sell the team....

Bob Kraft has never taken a major role with the Revolution but instead let his son Jonathan do all the heavy lifting. They are no closer to a soccer only stadium than they were 20 years ago and my understanding is UMass-Boston offered them a very favorable deal but Jonathan wanted more and the school walked away.

Wonderland or Assembly Square would have worked as well for a new stadium but at least in the case of Somerville, the mayor there said Jonathan was unreasonable in his demands.

Jonathan single handedly screwed up the proposed Pats stadium in South Boston by deciding to work with the governor (Weld) and not the local politicians including the late Joe Moakley and Mayor Menino. Gillette Stadium is OK once you get there but it is still a nightmare to get in and out of.

Imagine if the Red Sox moved out to the Burlington Mall while people poured into Boston to watch the Revolution. That's what it's like in Atlanta right now. Whodathunk?

The thing about Atlanta is the Falcons decided to so something that our beloved Papa Jacobs must have nightmares about - they drastically lowered concession prices at the new stadium.

Jeez. Those prices are even better than what the Spinners charge (although $5 for a cheeseburger seems oddly high when compared to the rest of the menu).
