Royals get the jump on next season and announce today that they have renewed their affiliation with Washington and Hershey for 2013-2014. (and therefore put to rest the rumors from Hershey that the Bears might split from Washington)

ECHL Colorado drops affiliation with NHL Winnipeg/AHL St Johns.

Stewart also affirmed the fact the Eagles will consider several options for the upcoming ECHL season. "Eagles fans can rest assured that we have many opportunities to explore for next season. We have already had NHL clubs express interest in potentially forming an affiliation with the Colorado Eagles. We will also investigate the possibility of being independent of an NHL affiliation. We will do our due diligence in making the best possible decision moving forward and allow that decision to put us in the best possible position to win a championship."

I figured Fort Wayne would end the affiliation after the season. I expect them to be independent this season.

So the Wolves have two 'AA' affiliates? Evansville and Missouri? Whatever brings in the $$$

Yes. Over the last three years or so, the Wolves have affiliated with a CHL team and an ECHL team. This way, the Wolves only signings being sent down doesn't "disrupt" the development of the NHL's prospects in the ECHL.

The Greenville Road Warriors announced today they have renewed their affiliation agreement with the NHL’s New York Rangers. The 2013-14 season will be the fourth straight year the Road Warriors and Rangers have partnered.

When Trenton closed its doors after the season, the Flyers/Phantoms needed a new ECHL affiliate.

That new affiliate will be the teams' old affiliate: Greenville, as reported by Bill Meltzer.

The Flyers will share that affiliate with the Rangers, which is not uncommon at that level.

Ten players on the Phantoms 2012-13 roster spent time with Trenton, ranging from a couple of games to most of the season.
