Not sure if he's the best goalie out there but he may well be the coolest
Can he start tomorrow?
I notice that Berdin's stats for the Moose are far superior than Comrie's. That is not saying much but why has he been demoted to the ECHL, considering he is 3-2-0, with a 0.921 saving %, while Comrie is a mediocre 8-9-0, with a 0.908 saving %. It's also worth noting that Berdin is 11-3-0 with Jacksonville of the ECHL.
Considering Berdin (20) is three years younger than Comrie (23), this has to be encouraging for the Jets.
Comrie is at best a NHL backup. I think he's an mediocre AHL starter or AHL backup. I've never seen an NHL who seems to have no clue how so many goals went in.My guess is that they want to have Berdin get the heavy work load and they aren't quite ready to move on from Comrie just yet. They won't be able to keep Berdin down for ever but he is only 20 years old and Comrie is 23 so my guess is one full season for Berdin with a heavy work load in the ECHL (and with the Moose when needed) then maybe he is up as soon as next season to split the net?

Berdin is a very interesting prospect. His hockey IQ is outstanding for a goalie.
I'd rather keep Croissant at a reasonable rate than Berdin or Comrie.Yea Eric is almost done as a viable prospect for us now. One of the things he has going for him is he is about as good a kid and hard a worker as you will find so I sense that will buy him a bit more time (all of this season). My hopes is that next season Berdin would be on the big club sharing the net at a minimum but we'll see.
As much as I want to keep Broissant, if he continues to play lights out, he will be due for a huge raise. Besides, Berdin is only 20 and can turn in to a stud by 23I'd rather keep Croissant at a reasonable rate than Berdin or Comrie.
