When he finally starts playing well.....

The gods hate us. Someone here has to sacrifice their first born son.

Really can you link the 5 posts where I said this? I think I said it once before in a thread that got locked. It's a perfect reply to people with sticks up their ***es.

What should one say when a stick is in their eye??

.....owwwww!

Komisarek was shooting pucks on Monday, kept missing the net. Took it out on his stick and had chip land in his eye.

Neither Mike Brown nor Colton Orr practised with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday morning at the MasterCard Centre.
Brown suffered an upper-body injury during a fight with the Buffalo Sabres’ Mike Weber on Tuesday night. He did not return after suffering the injury.

Back at practice were forward Clarke MacArthur and defenceman Mike Komisarek. MacArthur missed the 4-3 overtime win in Buffalo after losing a fingernail against the New York Rangers last Saturday.

Komisarek, coach Randy Carlyle said, suffered an eye injury at the end of practice on Monday, and that was the reason for his absence in Buffalo. But Komisarek practised without a visor.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Mike Komisarek won’t take his frustrations out on his stick anytime soon again.

Komisarek missed Tuesday’s 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo after getting a slice of graphite from an exploding stick into his eye.

He was shooting some pucks after practice Monday and after he missed the net a few times, he smashed his stick in frustration.

“Stick breaks and a bunch of graphite goes in my eye and my face and had to go see the eye specialist,†said Komisarek, humbled by his own misadventure.

“Had it removed. In the end, had a little stitch in the eyeball. Mark that down as a first and something I don’t want to do again. Just a bad accident. At the end of the day, don’t take it out on your stick and hit the net. It’s not the stick’s fault.

“It could have been a lot worse. It’s definitely my fault for taking it out on the stick. I had one piece of graphite in my eye that was deep. It was scary going through it. But luckily it wasn’t anything serious and the doc was able to pull it out after digging in my eyeball fr an hour.â€

I guess he should look to pass more often and avoid those shots off net.
