Just because Green is a tad bit faster and his shot is faster does not mean that Green is a better player. You still have to take into account many other factors.

agreed. the things that make dan hamhuis so good are intangible. he has, by far, the most hockey smarts i've ever seen in a predators defenseman, timonen included. he almost ALWAYS makes the right play, and his poke check is unrivaled on the team. his offensive game is only one small part of a very, VERY complete d-man.

Smarts is another major part of Green's game. He basically coached players 3-4 years his senior this year. Being able to play in the WHL after just turning 15 is no small feat either. His development in junior is also comparable to Nick Schultz of the Minnesota Wild while he was in junior.
