What rebuild? sakic hasn't done anything

90% of a rebuild is drafting and then giving the kids a chance to play. That appears to be what he’s doing this year.

But yes, Sakic could use some serious help with the other 10%.

If you take out last year's stats, Varlamov's career average numbers with the Avs are as follows:

53GP (avg per season)
GAA 2.68
SV% .916

Those are not Vezina numbers.

If we take out last year's stats, Bobrovsky's career average numbers are:

42 GP
GAA 2.54
SV% .917

Does he have to return the Vezina he won?

Varly was Vezina runner up and 4th in Hart voting in 2013-14. Career averages don't change that.

I've gotta ask, what's the record for main forum trade threads for one player? We've gotta be getting close at this point, no?

My prediction is that he's dealt for a package of Ryan Murray, young forward and a high pick.

No idea how long it will take Sakic to realize that it's a good offer though.

If it weren't for injuries, I think Nashville would have gotten Duchene.

I know Montreal came especially close a few weeks ago. I think they also closed the books on him permanently.

From what Elliotte Friedman said last night, seems like Columbus also rejected a Duchene trade involving Anderson...

Who's left? Ottawa? Pittsburgh? Los Angeles? St Louis? Vancouver lol?

I think it'll be very close to this.

Murray + Anderson + Prospect + 2nd

OR

Murray + Anderson + Prospect + 1st - must include salary retention for Duchenes contract (25% sounds good.)

Friedman mentioned that Columbus rejected a Duchene trade involving Anderson. I think Anderson is out of the question - they seem to be very high on him.

We were. Before he turned out to be a real Jackoff. Whether it's him, or his agent playing hardball...CBJ doesn't play that way.

Neither does Torts

Overpaying in both of those, imo. Take out the prospect (assuming it's someone like Abramov, Carlsson, PLD, Stenlund, etc.).

Noah Hanafin. CAR get's a 2nd round pick back.

:sens
Thomas Chabot

Hanifin is off the table for Duchene, per Ron Francis directly. It is a term issue.

Canes can offer one of:
1) Victor Rask + 2nd
2) Top Prospect (Jake Bean or Martin Necas) + 2018 1st + B-level Piece

It's been written online that the Hurricanes are deep in discussions to get Tavares, so we don't need Duchene.

Rick Nash was worse.

Hmmm, true. Forgot about Nash. I was trying to think back of who could've garnered this many, but I could only think of UFA stamkos, and I don't think he had this many either.

Damn, if this was ever on the table, Sakic made a terrible mistake not pulling the trigger.

If it's a term issue, why shouldn't the Avs wait until Duchene can be extended and see if Francis is willing to do Hanifin then? What's the point in taking a lesser return before exploring that option?
