Looks like White might center Paajarvi tomorrow, which should be interesting.

Edit: See next posts, this is wrong.

Oh? I thought it was Paajarvi - Brassard - Dzingel at practice.

Yeah I was editing my comment after I listened to Boucher's full interview where he says that at the end, but you beat me to it.

That's another weird decision from the coach imo, but at this point it's not like it matters much.

Thompson is close to returning... With this lineup ... maybe getting 4th line minutes ..I don't think White will be here long.

Who does the management/coaching think they picked up?
It just shows how thin we are on left wing since losing MacArthur. Assuming it's mps-brass-dzingel that leaves our other left wingers as Hoffman, Smith and Burrows, guessing Dzingel is right wing?

I think we are thin on RW not LW, on LW they have Hoffman, Dzingel, Smith, Paajarvi, Pyatt, Paul, Burrows, Chlapik & Dumont who all shoot left & have played LW for Ottawa at one point or another. Three centers Brassard, Thompson & Duchene can also play LW & have, but a few of those LWers have played a lot of RW this yr like Pyatt & Dzingel. On RW they have Stone, Ryan (Ryan has also played LW although he shoots right), DiDomenico & a few centres who have also played RW on occasion in White & Pageau.

Pyatt has been used at Rw alot, and Dzingel now next game, Paul is on the 5th line, Chlapik is listed as a centre, Dumont has played mostly right wing for us and at times early in the year Ryan was playing left wing as well(when he was on the same line as Stone).

If Paajarvi on line 2 works out, that helps Smith reduced to a checking role and Burrows 4th line left wing and both will get less power play time. Then when everyone is healthy a roster move will need to be made. If everyone gets healthy.

On right wing for now we have Ryan and Stone every game, partly why I considered left wing thinner although Ryan has struggled.

So.....we are thin on LW.

Not sure what Boucher is seeing here but I'd rather Dido, Smith, White or Pyatt in the top 6 over Paajarvi. The guy is a speedy, defense-minded, black hole on offense.
