Yikes, not something you want to get caught up in, especially after falling from a Top 5 elite talent to a 2nd rounder in your draft year. Incidents like these in a +1 year are not good. Hoping he can bounce back after something as unfortunate as this. He’s got some elite talent.

In my limited viewings of him I don't see much offensive upside. If he makes the NHL it seems it will be in a bottom 6 role as a hardworking forechecker who can kill penalties and create energy. Am I off base?

Yea hell be a good forechecker type player... goal scoring I guess it depends, he has pretty soft hands from what I can tell and a decent shot, idk if he will be able to be a creative offensive force, but if he goes to the right areas and has a playmaking center w/him I don't see why he cant be a solid 2nd/3rd line winger.

He strikes me as a controlled max jones.

He has been very good for Team Canada since the start of the pre-tournament games.

If he progresses well, I could see him becoming a very effective third liner. Not similar in play style, but he could maybe fill the role on a team a player like Andrew Shaw has.

Way too early if you ask me. He was expected to be a top 5 pick, then had a mediocre draft season and seems to recover. We will see, the good thing, he seems to have pro attitude.

Is he back on track on what he was supposed to be at the pre season rankings?
