Chooch, you continue to throw very thinly veiled barbs of racial bias in the hockey media. That's a pretty serious accusation; I'd suggest you back them up with something other than a sirhan sirhan diatribe or retract them. :shakehead This
is a hockey board, not a political forum.

you could make Marc Tardif laugh

I can hardly wait. There is no univrsal way to rate players from different eras. Your one to seven method with weightings for dominant seasons does not have any good reasoning behind it. There is a hindred different ways it could be done. You could go withh only the top five with no domoinance rating for example. In other words, youur system is absolutely meaningless. A great effort but meamingless.

Exactly right. Great post.

Well the fact is that Luc doesn't have 700 goals yet, and if he does ever get it, it wont be in 1400 games. Luc is still more than 30 goals short of 700, and i doubt he gets 700 before 1500 games, if he ever does. He's getting older and obviously isn't the player he once was. But, he was still a great goal scorer, though I don't know if he ranks in the top 50.

I guess some have trouble grasping difficult concepts.

:biglaugh: I see you;ve got Adam Oates ahead of Henri Richard...But then again youve got the alltime leader in Evenstrength goals against listed as #1.

Henri would have slapped that guy.

I'm sorry.. that list is pretty rediculous if 66 just barely cracks the top 10. He has the highest Goals per game of any player I believe.

Since he missed 4 years completely and about 33% of the games during the years he did play, being anywhere near the top 10 on a career basis is pretty impressive.
